Disable Content Check for Whitelisted Users     Article #449

By design and default, Exchange Sentry enforces content checking for all users to aid in enforcing acceptable use policies.

If you you wish whitelisted users to bypass the content test in addition to the spam tests follow this procedure:

Warning: This requires directly editing the registry, please be careful!

1. Start regedit. Start - Run, Regedit
2. Navigate to:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Total Sentry\Exchange Sentry
3. Right click on that key name
4. Select "New", then select "String Value"
5. Change the new value name to "WhitelistSkipContent" (without the quotes)
6. Set the value to be a "1" (without the quotes) to disable content checks for whitelisted senders

* This will take effect during the next refresh, so either force it now using the configuration tool, or wait.

To Test It:
* Please test it to be sure it is working.
1. Force a refresh of the configuration using the normal configuration tool, "Server tools", "Enable/Refresh button"
2. Send an email in from outside your environment using a whitelisted sender, and insert a word on the content list
3. verify receipt of the email.
