How to Install Updated Configuration Files Article #441

Warning always back up your configuration files before making any
updates or mass changes![/!red]
1. Copy the desired file from the KB article
a. Open article
b. CTRL-A to copy to clipboard
c. Open notepad and paste
2. Make sure the administration/configuration tool is closed by
everyone.
3. Save the notepad file overtop the original. Be very careful
to save it over the correct file! The filename should be in the
topmost comment of each file as shown in the KB article.
4. Use the server console administration tool to refresh the
configuration.
5. Watch the alert mailbox for any notices of errors in parsing the
configuration files.
Common filenames:
Masked Word list: MaskedWords.txt
Spam Scoring list: SpamScoring.txt
Content List: DeniedKeywords.txt |
