New Installation - Exchange Sentry Not Operating     Article #439

Situation:
Your new installation of Exchange Sentry is not working. No spam is
being identified nor are any log files being updated.


Troubleshooting Steps:

1. Double check settings from installation guide

2. Enable Exchange Sentry:
a. From the server console open the administration/configuration
tool.
b. Use the server control page to enable Exchange Sentry
3. Register the DLL
a. From a command (cmd) prompt go to the home folder. The
default folder is \program files\Exchange Sentry
b. register the DLL with regsvr32 using the command
"regsvr32 ExchangeSentry.dll" (without the quotes)
4. Check registration of CDOEX.dll
a. This is very rare, but one trial user reported a registration
problem with CDOEX.dll caused Exchange Sentry to fail.
